THIS IS AN EASY METHOD THAT YOU CAN PRINT AND SELL YOUR DIGITAL COMICS
There are a few easy ways to sell your digital comic books (OR DIGITAL FILES) online. Print-on-demand services are one of the cheapest options for small self-publishers like us. They usually also have an option when printing to have you comic book listed on a digital site like Indy Planet, etc. Here are a couple links:
THIS NEXT METHOD WILL WORK FOR SELLING ANY DIGITAL DOWNLOADABLE FILE YOU WANT TO SELL AND IS FREE IF YOU MAKE UNDER $50/mo (OTHERWISE IT’s $15/mo +5%)
But a better option, may be a link to a digital goods ecommerce site like Payloadz (https://express.payloadz.com/) You then can use an image of the comic book in your Blog/Website and use the LINK that is provided for purchasing.
THIS IS THE HARDEST OPTION AND REQUIRES YOU LEARNING TO PROGRAM
After you have at least 25 likes for your Facebook page, type the URL “www.facebook.com/username”. Then select your page from the pull down menu and type in the new name for your facebook page. For instance, Southern California Surfer Bats Facebook page chose “SuferBats”. The new FB page became “www.Facebook.com/SuferBats” or “fb.com/SurferBats” either the “Facebook” or “fb” prefix works.
QUICK TIP FOR PHOTOSHOP: When you scale an image up or down in size use increments/decrements of a maximum 10% (percent not pixels) at a time. Just keep doing it until you get to the size of image you desire.
Wonder why you aren’t getting as many followers as you’d like?
When was the last time you went out of your way to check out somebody new’s project, status update, blog, Kickstarter, etc.?
Follow OTHERS dudes and dudettes! There are so many little unknown projects by unknown people, like myself, where when somebody you don’t know likes, follows, or views your hard work…it really FEELS GREAT! Feels like all your hard work and effort are somewhat validated and it gives you a little boost of hope and motivation to finish your project.
When you do that for others, often they will return the favor. Do it because it’s right, not just to get followers.
FOLLOWERS DO YOU NO GOOD IF THEY DON’T ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOU!
So don’t try so hard just to get a large number of followers.
I am learning so much along the journey of making my first comic book. I now am really beginning to fully appreciate the artform of comic book lettering. Apparently there are some standard RULES that should be followed. This link is a good resource to start with. I also bought/obtained some new cool fonts from Blambot.com.
